Thanks to encouragement from a viewer, I have started to sketch again after years of neglect. I would like to make one sketch a day for the next year, but will be happy to do one a week. My mother, an art teacher, got me into the habit of carrying a sketch book. I was once assaulted on a New York City subway by a little old lady who didn't like the drawing I made of her. The warehouse sketch is my first drawing in three or four years. I have studied at the San Francisco Art Institute, The School of Visual Arts in New York and the New York Art Institute. I walked out of the University of Minnesota BFA program when I was told that I drew too well. Mostly I use pencil but Bar-1 and bar-3 were done on bar napkins with a pentel.
